During the meeting, the School Board and members of the audience observed a special presentation from the Greenfield High School Research Team, which claimed the state title with their science project involving testing water for impurities at different locations around Weakley County. The Weakley County School Board meeting, held Thursday afternoon at the central office conference room, covered a wide agenda. In addition to budgetary matters, the board recognized retiring teachers, and observed a presentation by members of the Greenfield High School Research Team that won the state championship with their project involving water quality testing from across the county.

One of the top items for discussion was Strategic Vision 2025 plan, which lists the educational goals for the next five years. After having reviewed the plan prior to the meeting, board voted unanimously to adopt the strategy for improving the quality of education and relevance of the educational content of the subject matter.
