Gleason Board gives final approval for beer sales; accepts bid proposal for Lagoon Project

Tejash Patl (standing) offered the City of Gleason $5,000 per year to vote down beer sales.

Gleason Board members voted to authorize the sale of beer inside the city limits when they met Thursday night.
The issue of beer sales as a means of generating revenue to meet the City’s financial obligations, which was fiercely debated by Board members and local citizens during last month’s meeting, was once again the top item on the agenda.

A resolution accepting funds provided by a 100 percent Community Development Block Grant for the Lagoon Project was also approved.
