Buddy Boane to promote cancer awareness with bike tour

Former D.A.R.E. Officer Buddy Boane, who is currently undergoing cancer treatments, is embarking on a bike ride from middle to west Tennessee, in order to promote cancer awareness.

A former Martin and UTM police officer, who worked to promote the D.A.R.E. program for several years in Weakley County schools, is in the fight of his life, after having had multiple surgeries to remove cancerous growths.

To promote cancer awareness, 61-year-old Buddy Boane, who now resides in Columbia, Tennessee, is going on a bike tour across a large portion of Tennessee. The ride begins May 15, 2017 at Kingsport and ends in Memphis.
