Industry is the source of income for the majority of the citizens of Weakley County. The county has over 60 industries ranging in size from as small as three employees to as large as 625 employees.

Among the products manufactured in Weakley County are paperback books, insulated storm doors and windows, light fixtures, recycled plastic products, home building hardware, gears, metal products, children's wear, cured country hams and bacon, printing, newspapers, produce, pajamas and robes, lawnmowers, wooden wire bound boxes, metal fasteners, food distribution, textile screen printing, machine parts, copper components for air conditioners and refrigerators, and distribution services. Weakley County industries generally operate in an union free environment with only two companies having union representation of employees.
