There are five incorporated municipalities located in Weakley County. The municipalities are Dresden, Gleason, Greenfield, Martin and Sharon. Dresden is the county seat of Weakley County.

Weakley County is served with electricity by Weakley County Municipal Electric System. Natural gas is provided to Martin by Texas Gas Transmission Corporation. West Tennessee Public Utility District services other areas of the county with natural gas. Each municipality has modern water, sewer and sanitation services. Solid waste collection is available county-wide.

Fire service is available in all areas of Weakley County either from fire departments located in each of the municipalities or from four rural volunteer departments. The fire departments are all well equipped and trained.
