Realtree’s David Blanton will be the guest speaker at Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield at the church’s 2017 Wild Game Supper on March 31 at 6:00 pm. David is well known in the hunting industry for his hunting skills, but also for his love for Jesus Christ.  A big crowd is anticipated and persons interested in attended are encouraged to get your tickets in advance. The Bethel University Renaissance Theatre will take the stage at The Dixie on April 7th and 8th to present “RAGTIME.” Featuring over 75 actors, a full orchestra, and backstage students, this show will be a grand event that you will remember for years to come.

Spring Revival

Pleasant View Baptist Church will be having a Spring Revival on April 2 through April 5 with Bro. Rick Walker.  Services will be Sunday, April 2, 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Monday, April 3 through Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m.


Weakley County Small Ruminant Course

The Weakley County Extension Office is hosting a Small Ruminant Course for producers to be educated on animal health, meat quality, marketing, management, guardian dogs, feeds and fencing. The course is scheduled for six (6) nights from 6 – 9pm each night. Producers must attend each night. Dates include: April 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th and 27th.  Registration forms may be picked up at Extension Office.   The course is open to all sheep and goat producers in Northwest Tennessee.


Tennessee Iris Festival Pageant

Territorial Review Pageants

The Tennessee Iris Festival Territorial Review Pageants will be held Saturday, April 1st, 2017, at 5:00 pm. 2017 Miss Tater Town Pageants

The annual Tater Town Pageants will be held on Saturday, April 8, at the Gleason School Gymnasium, beginning at 1 p.m.  Registration will begin at 12:30.  Categories for boys and girls are: 0 thru 11 months; 1 year olds; 2 year olds; 3 year olds; 4 and 5 year olds; and 6 thru 0 year olds.  Older categories include Pre-Teen Miss Tater Town for girls ages 10-12.  Next will be the Jr. Miss Pageant for girls ages 13-15.  The finale of the evening will be the Miss Tater Town Pageant for ages 16-21.  Pageant winners qualify for the West Tennessee Strawberry Pageants.  Entry fees for all pageants will be $20.  For more information call, 514-9007 or 415-3511.

The Gateway Center and United Way of West Tennessee will host a Savvy Senior Workshop for seniors of the community. The sessions will include Dr. Mark Cutright from Henry County Medical Center and Martin Fire Department along with addition fun guests. Weakley County Community Fiber Forum

A Weakley County Community Fiber Forum is scheduled to take place at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, in the Circuit Courtroom at the Weakley County Courthouse, located at 116 West Main Street, in Dresden. The meeting seeks public input concerning the framework of a fiber network in Weakley County. It will also give area citizens the opportunity to have their questions about fiber answered.


NWTN Class A All-Star Game

The NWTN Class A All-Star Game, featuring seniors from the area, will be Saturday, April 8 at Gleason High School.  The girls game will be at 6 p.m. and the boys game will be at 7:30 p.m.  There will be a dunk contest and a 3-point contest.  Doors open at 5 p.m.


Sharon T-Ball Sign-Up
