Carol Ann Williams
Carol Ann Williams, 62, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, November
18, 2008, at Regional Hospital of Jackson. Funeral services for Mrs.
Williams were held Friday, November 21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at
Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield. Burial followed in
Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Vernon Smith and Rev. Donald Doster
officiated the services.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist
Church. She was born September 3, 1946 in Martin to the late Wade
and Opal (Ward) Doster. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams
was also preceded in death by four brothers; and a sister, Meadie
Lipowski.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Doyle Williams; two
sons, Steve Sawyers of Puryear, and Tommy Williams of Greenfield;
two daughters, Stacy Smith of Martin, and Angie Knight of Atwood;
one sister, Ruby Hargrove of McKenzie; thirteen grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.
Harold "Junior" Casey
Harold "Junior" Casey, 78, of Dukedom, died Wednesday,
November 19, 2008, at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray,
Kentucky. Funeral services for Mr. Casey were held Friday, November
21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom. Burial
followed in the Casey Family Farm Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Walker
officiated the services.
Mr. Casey was a self employed farmer and had lived in the
Dukedom Community all of his life. He was born March 1, 1930 in
Graves County, Kentucky. Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his
parents, Quitman and Zella Barker (Dorn) Casey; his biological
mother, Mary Kane; a son, Richie Casey; and one sister, Lillie
Baker.
Mr. Casey is survived by his wife, Katie Harris Casey of
Dukedom; three sons, Gary Casey (Debbie) of Como, Randy Casey
(Suzanne) of Palm City, Florida, and Tim Casey (Tonda) of Dukedom;
eight grandchildren, Glen Casey, John Casey, Sarah Casey, Jennifer
Casey, Melissa Harp, Matthew Casey, Nikki Casey, and Audrey Casey;
and one great-grandchild, Taylor Casey. He is also survived by two
sisters, Betty Warren and Peggy Vinson, both of Sharon; and two
step-brothers, Bobby Baker of Mayfield, Kentucky, and James Baker of
Memphis.
Larry Gene Ward
Larry Gene Ward, 57, of Hohenwald, died Monday, November 17,
2008, at Decatur Co. General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Ward
were held Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Reed's
Chapel in Decaturville. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Roy
Wyatt officiated the services.
Mr. Ward is survived by a daughter, Regina Ward of Parsons;
two sons, Jamie Ward of Lexington, and Chris Ward of Lexington; two
sisters, Cindy Hinson of Lexington, and Joann Rose of Dyersburg;
three brothers, Darryl Ward of Ridgely, Donald Ward of Newbern, and
Mike Ward of Paris; and twelve grandchildren.
Lou Nell Hancock
Lou Nell Hancock, 88, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, November
19, 2008, at VanAyer Manor Nursing Center in Martin. Funeral
services for Ms. Hancock were held Saturday, November 22, 2008, at
2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial followed in
Brock's Cemetery in Greenfield. Wayne Perkins officiated the
services.
Ms. Hancock was a barmaid and attended Bethel Baptist Church.
She was born April 12, 1920 in Greenfield to the late Clay Baker and
Alta Mooney.
Ms. Hancock is survived by two sisters, Edna Floyd of
Greenfield, and Helen Gammons.
Ruby Fein
Ruby Fein, 86, of Greenfield, died Sunday, November 23, 2008,
at Martin Heath Care Center. Graveside services for Ms. Fein were
held Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery
in Greenfield.
Ms. Fein was a factory worker and attended First Baptist
Church. She was born May 26, 1922 in Martin to the late Charlie
Edward Reedy and Mary Louise Harley.
Ms. Fein is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Fein) Witherspoon
of Greenfield.
Wilburn Louis Gibson
Wilburn Louis Gibson, 70, of Chicago, Illinois, died Sunday,
November 16, 2008, at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago.
Funeral services for Mr. Gibson were held Friday, November 21, 2008,
at 11:00 a.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Kentucky. Burial
followed in Rozzell Chapel Cemetery in Graves County, Kentucky.
Mr. Gibson was a machinist for T&H Lemont at Countryside,
Illinois and had also worked for GM for 16 years in Yepsilanty,
Michigan. He was born February 22, 1938 in Mayfield, Kentucky to the
late Jessie and Sylvia (Lawrence) Gibson.
Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Shirley (Bynum) Gibson of
Chicago, Illinois; a son, Daryle Gibson of Somerville, Tennessee;
two daughters, Tracy Gibson of Columbus, Georgia, and Sylvia McBride
of Burlison, Tennessee; two stepsons, Gregory Coulouris of Chicago,
Illinois, and Keith Dublin of Geona City, Wisconsin; thirteen
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Phillips of
Vinemont, Alabama; two nephews; and one niece.
