TTC instructors boost gas

MCKENZIE, Tenn (June 11, 2008) - Three instructors at the
Tennessee Technology Center at McKenzie have developed a way
to fight the high cost of gasoline with inexpensive
distilled water, a bit of lye and an electrical charge.
The result, the school's pickup truck has increased its
miles per gallon from 20 to 32. The homemade kit costs
$60 to $150.
Biomedical Instructor Donald Gearin, Automotive Instructor
Dan Townsend, and Electronics Instructor Bruce Moore scoured
the Internet to find a simple, low cost, practical way for
automobiles to burn hydrogen instead of aid in their fuel
mixture. As an experiment, the trio added glass Mason
jars to the front of the pickup truck. Each jar was
filled with the low cost recipe and strapped to the front
grille. With the addition of an electric charge,
hydrogen gas was produced and piped through a small hose
into the air intake where it mixes with air and gasoline for
a more complete combustion than gasoline alone.
The three were traveling to a conference in Murfreesboro
when they came up with the idea.

A court order signed by 27th Judicial District Circuit Court
Judge William B. Acree, Jr. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, and
filed with the Circuit Court of Weakley County, outlines the
steps to be taken in eradicating the alleged mold problem at
Westview High School and Martin Middle School.
The court order is the result of court hearings sparked by a
lawsuit filed against the Weakley County Board of Education
by Carol Hinnman, mother of Martin students Griffen Pochop
and Dominique Pochop, which calls for the eradication of
mold from the school, due to alleged health problems caused
by the mold.
Judge Acree states in the court order:
"This matter came on to be heard before this Honorable Court
on May 12 and 13, 2008, upon the Plantiffs' motion for
temporary restraining order and temporary injunction
regarding Westview High School and Martin Middle School.
Upon the oral arguments of counsel, and this Honorable Court
having approved Weakley County Board of Education's initial
plan for remediation for Westview High School, which was
agreed upon by the Plaintiffs, and having accepted the
Weakley County Board of Education's initial recommendations
for Martin Middle School, it is hereby ordered by the court
as follows:
Work To Be Performed
1. The Weakley County Board of Education will take the
following remedial action at Westview High School during the
summer of 2008:
a. Remove all the fiberglass insulation with paper
backing from the chilled water pipe lines throughout the

Budgetary considerations for fiscal year 2008-2009 were
discussed during a meeting of the Public Works Committee of
the Weakley County Commission, during their regular monthly
meeting on Thursday. Since Bobby Robinson was the only
Road Commissioner member present, there were not enough
