Westview quarterback Harrison Moore, a senior, finished the
balloting for the 2007 Class 2A Mr. Football Back of the
Year as a finalist as the winners were announced at the
Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel on Monday.
Randall Cobb, from Alcoa, took home the Class 2A Back of the
Year honors.
Moore had 1,929 all-purpose yards during the regular season,
Moore scored 17 touchdowns and also had 92 tackles and four
interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.
A committee of statewide sports writers selected winners
based on performance in the 2007 regular season.
Academics and character were also taken into consideration.
High school head coaches and members of the media nominated
the finalists.
