Faye Boane

    Faye Boane, 71, of Paris, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services for Mrs. Boane were held Friday, October 26, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Ben Wainscott officiated the services.
    Mrs. Boane married G.W. Boane on January 9, 1952. Mr. Boane preceded her in death on February 2, 1986. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church. She was also active at Wesley Pine Ridge Senior Citizens Center. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Boane was also preceded in death by her parents, Fred Diggs Barlow and Verna Elva Arnold Barlow.
    Mrs. Boane is survived by four daughters, Joann Boane of Martin, Betty Lou Boane of Paris, Bobbie Ann Boane of Paris, and Wanda Sue "Susie" Gosnell of Dresden; two sons, David Lee Boane of Jackson, and Ricky Lee Boane of Gleason; two sisters, Mary Hart of McKenzie, and Hazel Hickman of McKenzie; three brothers, James Travis Barlow of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Roy Lee Barlow of McKenzie, and Harold Ray Barlow of Henry; seven grandchildren, Lisa Faye Boane, Danny Joe Boane, Janet Marie Williford, Keith Joseph Norman, Josh and Jennifer Connell, and James Robert Arnold, Jr.; and ten great-grandchildren.
 

Golda S. Alexander

    Golda S. Alexander, 63, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Funeral services for Ms. Alexander were held Thursday, October 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Meridian Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. David Lancaster and Don Bowlin officiated the services.
    Ms. Alexander was a babysitter and attended Meridian Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was born December 19, 1943 in Greenfield.
    Ms. Alexander is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Alexander) Gordon of Greenfield, and Tina Wheeler of Greenfield; her parents, Ruby (Roberson) Hubble of Greenfield and Earnest Hubble; three brothers, Sherill Hubble of Greenfield, Paul Hubble of Greenfield, and Dean Hubble of Greenfield; and five grandchildren.
 

Iness Laverne Thomas

    Iness Laverne Thomas, 83, of Sharon, died Monday, October 15, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Ms. Thomas were held Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery. Rev. Gerry Gallimore and Rev. Billy Garner officiated the services.
    Ms. Thomas was a homemaker. She was born June 30, 1924 in Weakley County.
    Ms. Thomas is survived by three sons, Richard Betts of Riverside, California, William A. Betts of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Bruce Dickson of Riverside, California; a daughter, Linda Waters of Morre Bay, California; a sister, Modell Lawrance of Sharon; and a sister-in-law, Brooksie Taylor of Dresden.
 

Jason Paul Jackson

    Jason Paul Jackson, 30, of Greenfield, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Jackson were held Monday, October 22, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield. Burial followed in Pisgaha Cemetery in Atwood. Roy Auvenshine officiated the services.
    Mr. Jackson was a factory maintenance worker. He was born September 13, 1977 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
    Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Christy Noel (Smith) Jackson of Greenfield; his parents, Garrett Elwood and Myrtle (Geath) Jackson of Greenfield; three sons, Cody Jackson of Greenfield, Tyler Jackson of Greenfield, and Travis Jackson of Greenfield; a daughter, Chelsie Kinney of Michigan; a sister, Evelyn Keif of Northville, Michigan; and three brothers, Michael Jackson of Plymouth, Michigan, Dave Jackson of Kenton, Michigan, and Tim Jackson of Detroit, Michigan.
 

Marshall Edward Todd, Sr.

    Marshall Edward Todd, Sr., 78, of Sharon, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Todd will be held today, Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel in Sharon. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Wilkey Jones will officiate the services.
    Mr. Todd was a retired car salesman. He was born February 16, 1929 in Weakley County.
    Mr. Todd is survived by two daughters, Lowanna (Dwain) Cooper of Cottage Grove, and Katrina (John) Edwards of Martin; two sons, David L. (Judy) Todd of Martin, and Ed (Karen) Todd of Martin; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
 

Mrs. Dean Harding Fisher

    Mrs. Dean Harding Fisher, 84, of Martin, died Friday, October 26, 2007, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Fisher were held Sunday, October 28, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial followed in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon. Rev. Russell Gallimore and Rev. Bill Tate officiated the services.
    Mrs. Fisher was retired from Bank of Sharon and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Martin High School. Mrs. Fisher was born August 16, 1923 in Martin to the late Hallet Harding and Gertrude Peery Harding. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fisher was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald D. Fisher.
    Mrs. Fisher is survived by her husband, Mr. John A. Fisher of Martin; a daughter, Janice Simmons (Donnie) of Chattanooga; a brother, Jack Harding of Memphis; a sister, Monema Hawks of Sharon; three grandchildren, Todd Fisher of Murfreesboro, Heather Jones of Chattanooga, and Cory Simmons of Chattanooga; and two great-grandchildren, Ronon Jones and Zoe Jones.
 

Novella Deck Jones

    Novella Deck Jones, 88, of McKenzie, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at McKenzie Health Care. Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be held today, Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Beech Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie. Rev. Bob Copeland and Rev. Fred Morris will officiate the services.
    Mrs. Jones was a secretary and a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. She was born September 9, 1919 in McKenzie to the late Ocie and Beulah (Taylor) Deck. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Jones.
    Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons, Barry Jones of McKenzie, and Terry Jones of McKenzie; a brother, Robert Deck of McKenzie; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
 

Ruth Ward Kelley

    Ruth Ward Kelley, 90, of Dresden, died Friday, October 26, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. Kelley were held Sunday, October 28, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden. Burial followed in Matheny Grove Cemetery in Dresden. Elder Charles DeMoss officiated the services.
    Mrs. Kelley was a housewife and was retired from Kellwood Company. She was also a member of Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church near Dresden. Mrs. Kelley was a native of Dresden and the daughter of the late Clarence and Lena Peery Ward. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Louis "Dock" Kelley; a son-in-law, Fred Gatewood; three sisters, Luna Bowlin, Irene Henderson, and Mary Brann; and three brothers, Dudley Ward, James Ward, and Gordon Ward.
    Mrs. Kelley is survived by a daughter, Betty Gatewood of Dresden; a son, Ted Lee (Brenda) Kelley of Dresden; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
 

Tommie Vera Vandiver

    Tommie Vera Vandiver, 90, of Dresden, died Friday, October 26, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. Vandiver were held Monday, October 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Miller officiated the services.
    Mrs. Vandiver was a retired nursing home employee and a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in McKenzie. She was born April 1, 1917 in Sardis, Tennessee to the late Jessie and Martha (Ethridge) Savage. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vandiver was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lucian Vandiver.
    Mrs. Vandiver is survived by two sons, Glen Vandiver of Arab, Alabama, and Phillip Vandiver of Paris; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
 

Virginia Cathey

    Virginia Cathey, 89, of South Fulton, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton, Kentucky. Funeral services for Mrs. Cathey were held Sunday, October 28, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Burial followed in Obion Co. Memorial Gardens. Bro. Steve Cochrum and Bro. Cecil May III officiated the services.
    Mrs. Cathey was a homemaker and a member of the Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton. She was born May 26, 1918 in South Fulton and had lived in this area all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Cathey on December 15, 1929; her parents, Chalmus Milton and Ruth Jenne Valentine; a son, Charles "Herb" Cathey on June 16, 2002; one grandchild; five sisters; and one brother.
    Mrs. Cathey is survived by three daughters, Sarah Watkins of Dukedom, Donna Grissom of South Fulton, and Linda Roberts of Fulton, Kentucky; a son, Gary Cathey of San Antonio, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Erranton of Fulton, Kentucky.
