Billy Joe Burnett Billy Joe Burnett, 41, of Dresden, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Burnett will be held today, Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Mr. Burnett was a logger for Kevin B. Smith Logging in Dickson and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Gleason. He was born August 4, 1965 in Paris. Mr. Burnett is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Raymond and Joyce VanCleave Burnett of Dresden; a daughter, Hope Burnett of Bluff City, Tennessee; two sons, Josh Burnett of Dresden, and Blake Burnett of Bradford; four sisters, Tammy Burnett of Dresden, Frances (Johnny) White of Dresden, Cathy (Nyle) Carlton of Dresden, and Michelle Burnett of Dresden; and nephews, Gary and Mathew Sweatt, Max Carlton, and Quinton McClerkin. Clarence Leon Rodgers Clarence Leon Rodgers, 83, of Martin, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. She was retired from G&W Plumbing as a bookkeeper. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husbands, Maynard Dawson and Earnest White; a daughter, Sandra Dawson; and a brother, Billy Joe Gatewood.
