James Harold Morgan James Harold Morgan, 83, of Sharon, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Martin Health Care. Funeral services for Mr. Morgan were held Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Sidonia Baptist Church. Burial followed in Tansil Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Perkins and Rev. Jim Garner officiated the services. Mr. Morgan was a minister and a veteran of the United States Army. He was born November 19, 1923 in Weakley County. He was preceded in death by a son, Andy Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Morgan of Sharon; four sons, Clay Van Morgan of McKenzie, Ed Morgan of Sharon, Gary Morgan of Martin, and Ronnie Morgan of Martin; three sisters, Melba Carson of Sharon, Ruby Culver of Pennsylvania, and Nelda McMillin of Martin; four brothers, Houston Morgan of Dresden, Jerry Morgan of Sharon, Lebron Morgan of Sharon, and Max Morgan of Sharon; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Jimmy Lee "Bimbo" Ray Jimmy Lee "Bimbo" Ray, 53, of Sharon, died Monday, June 25, 2007, in South Fulton. Funeral services for Mr. Ray were held Friday, June 29, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, Kentucky. Burial followed in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Bro. Larry Powers officiated the services. Mr. Ray was a retired tire builder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Union City and a Baptist by faith. He was born November 4, 1953 in Martin. Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Preston Lee "PJ" Ray. Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Tawny Ann Davis Ray of Memphis; his mother, Eula Madge Brown Ray of Fulton; a stepdaughter, Brianna Davis of Memphis; four sisters, Pat Harwell of Martin, Shelia Thompson of Fulton, Cindy May of Elizabeth, Tennessee, and Susie Hart of Martin; and one brother, Johnny Ray of Atoka, Tennessee. Maxine Elaine Owen Maxine Elaine Owen, 80, of Greenfield, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Owen were held Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. Members of the family officiated the services. Mrs. Owen was a homemaker. She was born November 17, 1926 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Owen; and a son, Richard Oren Dale Owen. Mrs. Owen is survived by a son, Michael Philip (Roshelle) Owen of Orangeburg, South Carolina; three daughters, Bonnie (Gary) Macquire of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Sandra (Robert) Pettey of Red Bay, Alabama, and Brenda (Richard) Riddick of Greenfield; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mitchell Clayton Dilday Mitchell Clayton Dilday, 45, of Dresden, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Graveside services were held Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Dr. Don McCulley officiated the services. Mr. Dilday was a construction worker and a member of First Baptist Church in Dresden. He was born June 27, 1961 in Union City, the son of Fairy Westbrooks Lynn and the late Joe Hoyt Dilday. Mr. Dilday is survived by his mother, Fairy Westbrooks Lynn of Dresden; and a brother, Tommy (Mari) Dilday of Dresden. Virginia Lee Avery Virginia Lee Avery, 103, of Gates, Tennessee, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Gates Tennessee. Funeral services for Mrs. Avery were held Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Gates Methodist Church in Gates, Tennessee. Burial followed in Gates Cemetery. Mrs. Avery was a homemaker and a member of the Gates Methodist Church for over 80 years. She served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school secretary, President of the Women's Society Christian Service several times. Past President of the local P.T.A, and participated in many other local projects. Her husband, Paul Avery Sr, preceded Mrs. Avery in death. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Avery Savage of Bernardsville, New Jersey: two sons, Tom Avery, of Bartlett, Tennessee and Paul Avery, Jr. of hall, Tennessee: 7 grandchildren, Leigh (Dickie) Hart of Dresden, Tennesse, Paul J. (Shelley) Avery of Memphis, Tennesse, Carol (Terry) Wilson of Murphreesboro, Tennesse, Beth (Bubba) Humphries of Ripley, Tennesse, Ginny (Anthony) Layton of Phillipsburg TWSP. New Jersey, Mary (Anthony) Pezzella of Bridgewater, New Jersey, John Savage of Bernardsville, New Jersey and 9 great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the Gates Methodist Church in Gates, Tennessee.
