Joseph Robert Clark

     Joseph Robert Clark, 38, of McKenzie, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services for Mr. Clark were held Friday, March 30, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel in Gleason. Rev. Bobby Connley officiated the services.
     Mr. Clark was a welder/feed mill operator. He was born April 13, 1968 in San Bernadino, California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jonie (Rowe) Clark.
     Mr. Clark is survived by his father, James Ralph Clark; a sister, Mandy Wade of Gleason; two brothers, James Clark of Camden, and Shawn Clark of Gleason; and three stepbrothers, Greg Williams of Sharon, Rodney Williams of Dresden, and Chris Williams of Gleason.

 

Judge Homer Wesley Bradberry

     Judge Homer Wesley Bradberry, 94, of Dresden, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at his home. Funeral services for Judge Bradberry will be held today, Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Max Speight and Bro. Jim Calhoun will officiate the services.
     Judge Bradberry was an attorney and former chancellor. He was a member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church, a charter member of Dresden Elks Lodge and also a charter member of Dresden Rotary Club. Judge Bradberry was born May 15, 1912 in Weakley County to the late Johnny and Martha Moore Bradberry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Patricia Morris Bradberry; a sister, Aileen Hodges; and two brothers, J.D. Bradberry and Harold Bradberry.
     Judge Bradberry is survived by two sons, Tommy (Judith) Bradberry of Dresden, and Dr. Sam (Kim) Bradberry of Union City; four grandchildren, Beth Bradberry of Dresden, Ben Bradberry of Nashville, Brock Dean of Memphis, and Sloan Bradberry of Union City; and two great-grandchildren.

 

Margie Baker House

     Margie Baker House, 75, of Martin, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. House were held Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial followed in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon. Rev. R. David Lancaster and Bro. Terry Griffin officiated the services.
    Margie was born October 26, 1931 in Sharon, daughter of the late Jessie Corbitt and Verlie Adams Baker. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lyrlene Baker Gardner. She graduated from Martin High School in 1949, where she was a 4 year starter on the Martin High School Girls' Basketball Team. She retired from Sears Roebuck in Livonia, Michigan after 15 years of service. She also served as youth sponsor and Sunday school teacher for over 25 years in Livonia. She was currently a member of Bible Union Baptist Church.
     Mrs. House is survived by her husband of 57 years, Fred W. House of Martin; one brother, Jessie C. Baker, Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Aurora, Illinois; one sister, Mozell Downen and husband, Hubert, of Martin; one brother-in-law, Bobby H. Gardner and wife, Bobbie Jean, of Martin; two sons, Joel House and wife, Cindy, of Plymouth, Michigan, and Jeff House and wife, Cynthia, of Auburn, Indiana; one daughter, Barbara House Lancaster and husband, David, of Knoxville, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

 

Nell Rose Cammire Robinson

     Nell Rose Cammire Robinson, of Martin, age 86, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Martin Health Care in Martin.
She was born in Cardwell, Missouri, the daughter of the late Hubert and Katie Pace. She was preceded in death by husbands, R.C. Cammire and H.H. (Robby) Robinson; and a brother, Joe (Buddy) Pace.
     Ms. Robinson is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Dwight) Merritt of Martin; two grandchildren, Dana (David) Hart, and Derek (LeAnne) Merritt of Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kyle Hart and Davin and Lauren Merritt, all of Martin.
     Ms. Robinson was the owner and operator of Sharon Variety Store in Sharon for more than 30 years. She was a member of Martin First United Methodist Church, the Bob Carroll Sunday school class, the Laura Wells Circle, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Sharon.
     Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel in Sharon. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon.
     In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church or We Care Ministry in Martin.
 

William E. Mullins, Jr.

     William E. Mullins, Jr., 95, of Greenville, South Carolina, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Mullins were held Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield. Billy Hicks officiated the services.
     Mr. Mullins worked as a Chemical Engineer for United States Sugar Corporation. He attended First Baptist Church. Mr. Mullins was born January 8, 1912 in Greenfield to the late William E. Mullins, Sr. and Lois Pitts Mullins.
     Mr. Mullins is survived by a daughter, Molly Hoffman Aiken of Simpsonville, South Carolina; a sister, Georgie Radford of Greenfield; and a granddaughter, Katierine Avery Kettering of Greenville, South Carolina.
 

Woodrow Wilson Vaughn

     Woodrow Wilson Vaughn, age 90, of Martin, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at VanAyer Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Martin. Funeral services for Mr. Vaughn were held Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home with burial at East Side Cemetery. Father Joseph Paolozzi and Rev. Roger S. Oldham officiated the services.
     Mr. Vaughn was the previous owner and operator, along with his wife and daughter-in-law, of Vaughn's Interiors in Martin. He was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Martin. Mr. Vaughn was born April 14, 1916 in Weakley County. He was the son of the late Loyd and Evia Tansil Vaughn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was also preceded in death by his wife, Nelle Kathryn Wilson Vaughn; his two sons, Wilson (Woody) Vaughn, Jr. and John A. Vaughn; and a sister, Shirley Vaughn Winsett.
     Mr. Vaughn is survived by a sister, Allie Vaughn Winsett (Milburn) of Martin; two granddaughters, Laura Kathryn Vaughn and Ellen Elizabeth Vaughn, both of Martin; and daughter-in-law, Mylinda Tyner of Martin.
