The Gleason Lady Bulldogs continued their winning ways on Saturday afternoon in matinee action as the Lady Bulldogs used a 15-2 run to end the first frame to propel themselves to a 63-27 win over the visiting Lady Rockets from Clarksburg.

Though Clarksburg was able to take a brief lead midway through the first frame, the Lady Bulldogs went on a 15-2 run to put the game out of reach early and take the matinee win.
After early and bucket from Taylor Stout and a three-pointer from Candace Green, the Lady Rockets rallied to take a 7-5 lead after a jumper from Amanda Renfroe and a free throw from Rebecca McDaniel. But, a three-point play from Kayla Hudson returned the lead to the Gleason side of the scoreboard and sparked a run that was capped by a three-pointer from Riley Auvenshine and five points from Hudson to make the score 20-9 at the end of the first fame.
Though Clarksburg was able to put some points on the board during the second stanza, Hudson nailed three three-pointers to counter four late Clarksburg points and give the Lady Dawgs a 32-14 lead going into the break at the half.

Though both teams played to a 13-13 tie after one quarter, a 13-0 run by the Rockets late in the second frame proved to be enough to blast Clarksburg to the win.
After a Ben Johnson jumper opened the second quarter for Clarksburg and gave the Rockets the lead, Byron Fuqua answered with a three-pointer and a jumper to give the Bulldogs an 18-15 lead with 5:30 left in the stanza. But, a pair of Erin Harris layups gave the lead back to the Rockets and sparked a 13-0 run that was capped by a pair of Matt Simpson treys to give the Rockets a 28-18 lead with just under two minutes left in the half. Fuqua finally broke the scoreless skid with a late jumper to make the score 28-20 at the half.
