Bobby Ray Raborn

     Bobby Ray Raborn, 67, of Martin, died Friday, December 22, 2006, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Burial was in Thompson Cemetery near Dresden. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
     Mr. Raborn was a retired HVAC installer and a U.S. Army veteran. He was born in Bells, Tennessee to the late Corbert and Pauline Tinker Raborn.
     Mr. Raborn is survived by two daughters, Ramona Roberts of Dresden, and Regina Gilbert of Columbia, Tennessee; a sister, Linda Sue Baker; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Harold Glen Hibbard

     Harold Glen Hibbard, 65, of Martin, died Monday, December 18, 2006, at Martin Health Care. Funeral services for Mr. Hibbard were held Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Martin. Burial followed in Adams Chapel Cemetery in Martin.
     Mr. Hibbard was retired from Goodyear and was a member of Adams Chapel Baptist Church. He was born April 25, 1941 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Shirley Hibbard and Bessie Bundy Hibbard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hibbard was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Layton Hibbard and Troy Hibbard; and four sisters, Pauline Hibbard, Geneva Hibbard, Marie Kewkirk, and Mayme Russell.
     Mr. Hibbard is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Marie Ferrell Hibbard of Martin; three sons, Morris Glen Hibbard of Martin, Thomas Dale Hibbard of Martin, and Gary Hibbard of Martin; two daughters, Marcella Pate of Dresden, and Bonnie Dawson of Bradford; a brother, Roy Hibbard of Manchester, Kentucky; six sisters, Rosie Ray of Martin, Faye Dickens of Martin, Zella McCoy of Virdin, Illinois, Lois Thibedeau of Florida, Bonnie Kiley of Florida, and Doris Melo of Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Leona Erwin Marlar

     Leona Erwin Marlar, 101, of Chicago, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services for Mrs. Marlar were held Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Methodist Church. Burial followed in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon. Rev. Billy Cobb officiated the services.
     Mrs. Marlar was a homemaker. She was born February 25, 1905 in Sidonia to the late John F. Erwin and Emma Wainscott Erwin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marlar was also preceded in death by her husband, W.D. (Dan) Marlar.
     Mrs. Marlar is survived by two daughters, Shirley March of Chicago, Illinois, and Pat Kaufman of Chrystal Lake, Illinois; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Nell Damron Harrison

     Mary Nell Damron Harrison, 92, of Martin, died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. Harrison were held Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial followed in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Eddie Hutchens officiated the services.
     Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Church of Christ. She was born March 23, 1914 in Weakley County to the late Gilbert Hatler and Ruby Magness Hatler. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrison was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Damron and R.V. Harrison; a brother, Robert Hatler; and a sister, Modelle Turbeville.
     Mrs. Harrison is survived by a son, Bobby W. Damron of Kannapolis, North Carolina; and a sister, Pearl Summers of Florence, Alabama.

Rheanne LaDawn Brown

     Rheanne LaDawn Brown, 35, of Paducah, Kentucky, died Monday, December 18, 2006. She was the mother of April, Brad, Renee and Maize Mitchell, also the children of Brad Mitchell of Murray, Kentucky; daughter of Charlotte Ann Wells and stepdaughter of Billy Jay Wells of Boaz, Kentucky; daughter of Donald R. Harper and stepdaughter of Melanie Harper of Odessa, Texas; granddaughter of Ray and Opal Harper of Dresden; granddaughter of Mardgrie and Charles A. Puckett of Greenfield; great-granddaughter of Mr. Robert Gant of Dresden; the sister of David C. Harper, Alexis Harper, Daniel L. Davie, and Billy Ray Wells; sister-in-law of Honey Harper; aunt of Sabrina and Travis Harper; niece of Roy and Fusa Harper of Dresden; and niece of Martha and Robbie Raney of Nashville.
     Rheanne graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1989; from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in May of 1996. She was the Family Literacy Coordinator for West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah.
     Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23, 2006, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Hoover officiating. Burial took place at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Roy Lee Adkins

     Funeral services for Roy Lee Adkins, 69, of Decatur, Alabama, were Friday, December 15, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Gerry Ellis, Kathi Firth, Terry Blackwell, Randy Rodgers and Harold Eason officiating. Burial was in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
     Mr. Adkins, who died Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at his residence was born August 30, 1937 in Idabel, Oklahoma to the late Claude Adkins and Ruby Smith Adkins. He was a veteran who served more than 15 years with the U.S. Navy. He was a former assistant manager at Wal-Mart in Martin and retired after 27 years of service from store planning in Bentonville, Arkansas.
     He is survived by his wife, Donna Pettit Adkins; two sons, Tommy and Danny Adkins, both from Oklahoma; one daughter, Mary Ann Bunch and her husband, Danny, of Knoxville; two stepsons, Michael Messer and his wife, Toni, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Christopher Messer and his wife, Tessa, of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by his mother, Ruby Blevins of McAlester, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara Dedmon and Carol Leonard of McAlester, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jerry Adkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and David Adkins of McAlester, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Adkins; three sisters, Lucille Haney, Bertha Adkins, and Marie Adkins; his brother, Sonny Adkins; and a daughter, Mechelle Ann Dew.
