Greenfield boys shock
West Carrill in thriller |
While this season has been described as a
rebuilding year for the Greenfield Yellowjackets, the black and
orange boys made sure the construction began early as the ’Jackets
nabbed a 69-68 victory over West Carroll last Tuesday night at
Greenfield.
In girls action, the Lady ’Jackets handed West
Carroll a 62-38 setback.

Gleason, Westview take home
Friday night victories |

Both the Gleason Lady Bulldogs and
Westview Lady Chargers were able to get their Thanksgiving
Classic weekends off to a good start as both teams took
dominating wins on Friday night at the Westview Girls’
Thanksgiving Classic at Westview High School.
Gleason had the tougher of the two
challenges, but showed they were up to it as the Lady
Bulldogs defeated the defending Class AA State Champion
Chester County Lady Eagles 53-41. In the final contest of
the night, Westview dominated St. Benedict’s Academy 75-37.

County teams take home win in Westview Classic |

All three Weakley County teams in
action on Saturday night – the Greenfield Lady ’Jackets,
Gleason Lady Bulldogs and Westview Lady Chargers – all took
home wins in the final night of the Westview Girls’
Thanksgiving Classic at Westview High School.
The Greenfield Lady ’Jackets got their
third win of the season, defeating the University School of
Jackson Lady Bruins 51-34. Gleason got its second win of the
tournament as the Lady Bulldogs dominated Dyer County 55-29.
In the nightcap, Westview defeated Chester County 65-48.
