Charlotte Virginia Carroll
Charlotte Virginia Carroll, 59, died Monday, October
31, 2005 at her residence. Services for Mrs. Carroll were
conducted Saturday, November 3, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at Cedar
Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Frederick
officiated. Interment followed in Terrace Hill Cemetery in
Troy.
Mrs. Carroll was born November 12, 1945 to the late
Ralph and Rosa Lee Glass Carroll. She was a member of Kenton
United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by one sister, Vera Moore Shelton of
Gleason; four brothers, Ralph Carroll, Jr. of Kenton, Jimmy
Wayne Carroll of Texas, Jerry Lee Carroll and Charles David
Carroll, both of Woodland Mills, Tennessee. Jerry
E. Swinny
Jerry E. Swinny, 74, of Dresden, died Saturday, October
29, 2005, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Swinny were
held Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Williams
Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial followed in Highland
Cemetery in Greenfield. Brian Crowe officiated the services.
Mr. Swinny was an electrician and attended the Church
of Christ in Dresden. He was born May 8, 1931 in Greenfield
to the late Jamie Swinny and Corrine Yarbrough. In addition
to his parents, Mr. Swinny was preceded in death by his
wife, Evelyn Swinny; a son, Rickie Swinny; a daughter, Diane
Saragian.
Mr. Swinny is survived by a brother, Jack Swinny; and a
daughter-in-law, Kathy Swinny; a son-in-law Hal Saragian;
granddaughters, Monica Swinny, Misty Swinny and Troy Wise;
and beloved friends, Donnie and Judy Garner. Mr.
Pat K. Nanney, Sr.
Mr. Pat K. Nanney, Sr., 84, of Sharon, died Friday,
November 4, 2005, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in
Humboldt. Services for Mr. Nanney were held Monday, November
7, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Murphy Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in the Tansil Cemetery in Sharon. Rev. Larry
Kendrick officiated the services.
Mr. Nanney was a Golf Professional. He was a member of
the Roberts Lodge #172 of Fulton, Kentucky; a Shriner,
Rizpah Temple, Madisonville; Charter member of the Elks
Lodge and Past Commander of the American Legion Post #55. He
graduated from South Fulton High School and the Akron
University in Akron, Ohio. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Nanney was born September 7, 1921 to the late J.B.
(Pomp) Nanney and Flarra Ellen Felts Nanney. In addition to
his parents, Mr. Nanney was preceded in death by three
brothers Paul, Mineard and David.
Mr. Nanney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine
Capps Nanney of Sharon; four sons, Robert Nanney of South
Fulton, Walter Nanney of Martin, John Nanney of Sharon and
Pat K. Nanney, Jr. of Sharon; a brother, Mike Nanney of
Martin; two sisters, Madge Connor of South Fulton and Ruth
Mortimer of Rockville, Missouri; and six grandchildren,
Christy Nanney, Carrie Nanney, Paul Nanney, Dylan Nanney,
Scout Nanney and Stephen Nanney.

James Monroe Green, 93, of Sharon, died Tuesday,
October 25, 2005, at the Weakley County Nursing Home.
Graveside services for Mr. Green were held Thursday, October
27, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bradford Cemetery in
Bradford. Don Bowlin officiated the services.
Mr. Green was an employee of American Tool Company. He
was born October 19, 1912 in Palmersville. Mr. Green was
preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Green and Cecil
Green and two sisters, Orla Lee Baker and Irene Dilday.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Louise Green of
Sharon; a son, Freddie Green of Chicago, Illinois; and two
brothers, Jeff Green of Dresden and Virgil Green of Sharon.
Jerry Thomas Jackson
Jerry Thomas Jackson, 63, of Dresden, died Saturday,
November 5, 2005, at his home. Burial was held in the
Pilgram's Rest Cemetery in Christmasville. A memorial
service will be held for Mr. Jackson at a later date to be
announced.
Mr. Jackson was a retired Foreman for Market Tool and
Die Company. He was born in Cauthersville, Missouri to the
late Joseph and Hazel Rae Norman Jackson. He was Baptist by
faith and a US Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, Mr.
Jackson was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Rochelle
Whitaker and a son Meloin Weir.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Lois Smith Jackson
of Dresden; three daughters, J.P. Jackson Roadcap of
Dresden, Robin Dawn Besher of Fredericktown, Missouri,
Deborah Pazdera of St. Louis, Missouri; a son, Daniel Weir
of St. Clair, Missouri; two sisters, Eva Jo Godsey of
Branson, Missouri and Mary McKinnon of Dietmer, Missouri;
three sons, Billy Jackson of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert
Jackson of Washington State and James Jackson; 13
grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and two beloved grand
puppies, Sassy and Molly. Mrs. Virgie Lee Patterson
Morris
Mrs. Virgie Lee Patterson Morris, 96, of Paducah,
Kentucky, died Friday, November 4, 2005, at the Oakview
Nursing Home in Paducah. Graveside services for Mrs. Morris
were held Sunday, November 6, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the East
Side Cemetery in Martin. Rev. Roger S. Oldham officiated the
services. Murphy Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Morris worked in Sales for Watkins Department
Store and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Paducah and a graduate of South Fulton
High School. Mrs. Morris was born May 3, 1909 to the late
Jack Patterson and Hattie Fisher Patterson. In addition to
her parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by 2
husbands, T.O. Morris and Vodrie Richardson; three brothers,
H.H. Patterson, Virgil Patterson and Malcolm (Pat)
Patterson.
Mrs. Morris is survived by a son, Jerry Morris of
Paducah; two grandchildren, Joey Morris and Julie Grantz;
four great grandchildren, Aaron Morris, Nicholas Morris,
Annie Grantz and Michael Grantz; and two great great
grandchildren, Addison Morris and Kaylee Morris. |
