Barbara S. West

    
Barbara S. West, 61, of Sharon, died December 1,2005 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. West were held Saturday, December 3,2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Rev. Dwayne Thomas officiated the services.
     Mrs. West was a homemaker. She was born January 7,1944 to the late Michael Shalapsik and the late Betty Childress.
     Mrs. West is survived by her husband, Emmett Earl West of Sharon; a son, Earl W. West of Sharon; a daughter, Teresa West of Sharon; two sisters, Mary Marks of Hobalt, Indiana, and Jonie Jonston of Hobalt, Indiana; 2 brothers, Mickey Shalapsik and Tommy Shalapsik; and one grandson, Adam M. Darnell.

Michael Jewell Bradberry

   
Michael Jewell Bradberry, 55, of Sharon, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at the Volunteer Community Hospital. Services for Mr. Bradberry were held Monday, December 5, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gardner Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Tansil Cemetery. Dr. Van Kissell officiated the services.
   Mr. Bradberry was born February 22, 1950. He was preceded in death by his father, Jewel E. Bradberry and a brother, Randall Bradberry.
     Mr. Bradberry is survived by his mother, Doris Bradberry of Sharon; two brothers, Eddie Bradberry of Martin and Rickie Bradberry of Troy; and a sister, Vickie DeSantis of Martin.

 

Mr. Carl Matthew (Matt) Barkman

    
Mr. Carl Matthew (Matt) Barkman, 86 of Martin, died Wednesday, November 11, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Barkman were held Monday, December 05, 2005, at 11:00 am at Pape Mortuary in Danville, Illinois. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
     Mr. Barkman was the former owner of Barkman Chevrolet Dealership and a member of the Grace Methodist Church of Danville, Illinois. He was a graduate of Danville High School and a member of the V.F.W. #728 and Danville Elks Lodge #332. He was born September 3,1919 to the late Elmer Roy Barkman, Sr. and Hilvia Elizabeth Olson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barkman was preceded in death by a brother Elmer Roy Barkman, Jr.
     Mr. Barkman is survived by a special friend Catherine McDonald.


Mrs. Joyce Binford Nanney

    
Mrs. Joyce Binford Nanney, 60 of Martin, died Saturday, December 3,2005 at Madison County Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services for Mrs. Nanney were held Tuesday, December 6,2005 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Martin. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemeteryin Watervalley, Kentucky. Rev. Larry Kendrick and Rev. Sky McCracken officiated the services.
     Mrs. Nanney was born in Fulton, Kentucky on September 23,1945. She was a graduate of Hickman County High School and a graduate of Murray State University in Murray Kentucky. She was the former librarian at Kenton School and Lake Road School in Obion County. Mrs. Nanney was a member of the First Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Laura Wells Circle of United Methodist Women, and a member of the Martin Fine Arts Club.
     Mrs. Nanney is survived by her husband, Mr. Warren Nanney of Martin; two sons, Dr. Philip Nanney of Paris, Mr. Chris Nanney of Smyra, Tennessee; her parents, Larry and Frances Binford of Watervalley, Kentucky; two sisters, Janice Sievers of Madisonville. Kentucky, Julie Graham of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and two granddaughters, Taylor Beth Nanney and Emily Jewel Nanney both of Paris.
Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.


Roscoe Harris, Sr.

    
Roscoe Harris, Sr., 89, of Dresden, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at the Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden. Services for Mr. Harris were held Saturday, December 3, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden. Burial was in the Rhodes Chapel Cemetery in Lynville, Kentucky. Bro. Donald Doster officiated the services.
     Mr. Harris was a Retired Farmer, Salesman and Business Owner. He was born in Graves County, Kentucky to the late James L. and Pearl McBee Harris. He was Baptist in faith and a member of the Dresden Masonic Lodge #90. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Evelyn Watts Harris.
     Mr. Harris is survived by five daughters, Freda Vassal of Dresden, Joyce Thedford of Naperville, Illinois, Jeanette Brundige of Smyrna, Becky Workman of Martin and Terry Pachl of Collierville; a son, Thomas R. Harris, Jr. of Dresden; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.


Brookie Nelson Dortch

     Brookie Nelson Dortch, 84 of Sharon, died Thursday, December 1,2005 at Vanayer Manor and Rehab in Martin. Visitation services for Mrs. Dortch were held Saturday. December 2,2005at Gardner Funeral Home in Sharon. Funeral services were held at Alamo Baptist Church on Sunday, December 4,2005. Rev. Tommy Harrison and Rev. Kenneth Williams officiated the service. Burial followed in Alamo Cemetery in Rives.
     Mrs. Dortch was born on June 2,1921. She was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Davis.
     Mrs. Dorch is survived by a son, Cyrus Nelson of Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter, Brenda O'Halloran of Orange County, California; two brothers, Ben Davis of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Roy Davis of Martin.


John Edward Norris

     John Edward Norris, 81, of Sharon, died Saturday, November 28,2005 at Volunteer Community Hospital. Memorial services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2005 at 2:00 p. m. at Gardner Funeral Home in Sharon. Rev. Tommy Harrison officiated the services.

     Mr. Norris was born on October 18,1924. He was a policeman and also a veteran.
     Mr. Norris is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Allen of State Line, Nevada; two sisters, Myrtle Haltye of Jacksonville, Illinois, Frances Turner of Jacksonville, Illinois, and a stepson, Charles Williams of Dresden.

 

Mr. Bradley Allen Ogden

     Mr. Bradley Allen Ogden, 27, of Dresden died Thursday, December 1,2005 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3,2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden. Burial Followed in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Bro. Nathan Horton officiated the service.
     Mr. Ogden was in construction and a native of Obion County. He was proceded in death by his mother Deborah Ivy.
    Mr. Ogden is survived by his fiancée, Rebecca Todd; his father, Dennis Ogden; two sisters, Elana Workman of Latham, and Tiffany Racher of Dresden; three brothers, Shane Ogden of Dresden, Eric Ogden of Union City, and Bobby Ogden of Dresden.

 

Mrs. Adeline S. Collier

     Mrs. Adeline S. Collier, 83, of Martin, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Services for Mrs. Collier were held Monday, December 5, 2005, at 1:00 in the Murphy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Collier's Cemetery. Rev. Roger S. Oldham officiated the services.
     Mrs. Collier was a Homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Collier was born September 2, 1922 to the late Frank Lewandowski and Mary Czprowski. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her husband R.A. Collier.
     Mrs. Collier is survived by a son Chuck Collier of Martin; a step son Raymond Collier of Martin; five daughters, Pat Holmes of Memphis, Barbara Shanes of Sidonia, Lori Garner of Martin, Carole Reymonds of Martin and Marilyn Quatrano of Candler, Florida; a step daughter, Lynda Collier of Walland, Tennessee; a brother, James Courtin of Largo, Florida, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 

Pamela Sue Hensley

     Pamela Sue Hensley, 18, of Latham, died Saturday, November 11, 2005, at her home. Services for Miss Hensley were held Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dresden. Bro. Gerry Gallimore and Bro. Robert Tuck officiated the services.
     Miss Hensley was the daughter of Jimmy and Cindy Perry Williams. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Latham and was a graduate of Dresden High School.
     In addition to her parents, Miss Hensley is survived by a brother, James Edward Perry of Dresden and her grandmother, Mrs. Jessie Scott of Big Sandy.
