Doris Imogene Davis Ragland

     Doris Imogene Davis Ragland, 80, of Gleason, died July 29th at home. Funeral services and burial for Ms. Ragland were held at Forest Hill Cemetery East in Memphis with Bro. Earnest Pounds officiating.
     Ms. Ragland was a member of the Gleason Church of Christ. A homemaker, she was born December 29, 1924 at Cave City, Kentucky to Elzie Creed and Donnie Proffitt Isenberg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Davis; four sisters, Jessie Isenberg, Arlene Lawerence, Marie Smith, and Dorothy Wilson; and three brothers, Clarence Isenberg, William Isenberg, and Ward Isenberg.
     Ms. Ragland is survived by a son, Dan Davis of Cluj Romania; two daughters, Jeanine Grinder of Gleason, and Lorraine Cooper of Paris; two brothers, Cecil Isenberg of Kirkland, Illinois, and James Isenberg of Summer Shade, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Bill Betts, Michelle Fischer, Chip Grinder, Chaunda Lampkins, Amanda Williams, and Rachel Davis; five great-grandchildren, Jon Creed Coley, Dharma and Delaney Grinder, and Londyn and Ella Claire Lampkins; and two step-great-grandchildren, Derrick and Jordan Fischer.

Jerry Wayne Brasure

     Jerry Wayne Brasure, 59, of the McConnell Community, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Brasure were held Friday, July 29, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Burial followed in Sandy Branch Cemetery in Weakley County. Rev. Dale True officiated the services.
     Mr. Brasure was a mechanic and brick layer. He was a member of the McConnell Baptist Church. Mr. Brasure was born June 16, 1946 in Fulton, Kentucky, and lived in this area all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Wilsie Webb Brasure; and a brother, Bobby Joe Brasure.
     Mr. Brasure is survived by a daughter, Peggy Brasure of Dresden; a son, Jerry Lynn Brasure of Martin; two brothers, Earl Dean Brasure of Greenfield, and Jimmy Brasure of Martin; three sisters, Shirley Crittendon of Martin, Peggy Midyett of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Joyce Sackett of Port Charlotte, Florida; and three grandchildren.

Herbert R. (Bill) Clinard

     Herbert R. (Bill) Clinard of Clifton, New Jersey, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Born and raised in Weakley County, he visited yearly with family and friends.
     Mr. Clinard was retired from the White Castle restaurant chain as Regional Supervisor.
     Mr. Clinard is survived by two sons, James Russell Clinard of St. Cloud, Florida, and Phillip Clinard of Laura Falls, Maryland.
     His wife, Marilyn, preceded him in death July 10, 1992.

Johnnie Wilson Montgomery

     Johnnie Wilson Montgomery, 86, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Services were held at the Pray Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2005, with Chuck Jenson officiating. Burial was at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
     He was born January 25, 1919 in Gleason to the late Thomas Haynes and Martha (Price) Montgomery. Also preceding him in death was his first wife of 26 years, Gladys (Yeargin) Lanningham of Greenfield.
     Mr. Montgomery is survived by children from his first wife, Martha (Jim) Skittenhelm of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, John G. (Sandy) Montgomery of Dresden, Kim (Sam) Dennisson of Dresden, and Beverly Whitney of Greenfield; grandchildren, Donald R. Harris Jr., Connie A. Daiss, Jonathon Simmons, Susan Simmons, Melissa Brainard, and Laura Beth Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Justin and Ross Cupp, Shona and Don Ray III Harris, Laura Beth Humphrey, Seth Boyce, Caitlin and Amanda Brainard and Hanna Leibensperger. Also surviving him is his second wife, Joan, and their children, Jean (Paul) Montgomery-Kivela of Lansing, Michigan, and Johnnie W. Jr. (Jennifer) Montgomery of Dresden. He has one brother surviving him, Thomas (Harriet) Montgomery of Lansing, Michigan; and one sister, Opal Taylor of Paris.
